The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya One Kenya Coalition party has asked its MPs to reject the nomination of various Cabinet Secretary candidates who are fighting in court.
President William Ruto unveiled his cabinet on Tuesday, September 27, and among his appointees were Aisha Jumwa and Mithika Linturi, who are both facing various charges in court.
At a press conference on Friday, September 30, Wiper chief Kalonzo Musyoka, an Azimio director, questioned the justification for appointing Cabinet individuals such as Jumwa, who are embroiled in criminal cases. .

The court cases of Jumwa and Mithika
Kalonzo was speaking in reference to Jumwa’s murder and bribery charges and Agriculture Cabinet candidate Linturi, who faces indecent acts charges, among others.

For his part, Linturi is accused of breaking into a woman’s hotel room and trying to touch her without her consent.
He has publicly declared the case to be a political witch hunt.
Didmus Barasa mocks calls to reject Cabinet candidates
