Kitten finds forever home after wet and wild walk through car wash
A Cheyenne kitten went for a wet and wild ride last Tuesday after getting stuck in the wheel well of a van.
According to Cheyenne and Laramie County Animal Control Officer Elizabeth Wagner, a Cheyenne woman had just passed through the Breeze Thru car wash at 2106 Dell Range Boulevard when she heard a kitten screaming at her van and reported it.
“When animal control officers Nguyen and Teasley responded to the scene, they safely removed the wet kitten from the wheel of the van,” Wagner said in a press release.
Wagner says the kitten, which did not belong to the woman, was taken to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter where she was checked out and given a clean bill of health.
According to the shelter, the kitten, who was given the name Denali, was brought home yesterday (Monday) evening, less than 24 hours after being put up for adoption.
“Thanks to these officers and the kind citizens of Cheyenne, this kitten can get a second chance at one of its nine lives,” Wagner said.
